SGF #159: Soaring Forward

SHOES:  Adele soared high at the Grammy Awards as the big winner of the night. Life for the singing sensation couldn’t get any better with six awards, healthy vocal cords, and this these killer,  sparkly pumps by Christian Louboutin.  The British starlet was soaring high on accolades and heel height.

GUYS:  Oprah started the soaring high tidal wave of the  “Pay it Forward” theme by giving it a spotlight, but it’s been a common thread among humanity for centuries.  Our guy Charlie Johnson took notes and created the “Pay It Forward” bracelet to push people to do more and remind each of us to do one nice, unselfish thing for someone else.  Once you have a “Pay it Forward” bracelet and after you do something nice for someone, he wants you to give the bracelet to the receiver of the good deed to remind them to do a nice thing for someone else.  His goal is simple; a chain that connects humans over the world together.  You can learn more about our guy Charlie Johnson and his bracelet at payitforwardfoundatiion.org or follow him on twitter @CharleyPIF.

FOOD: Our recipe for Nella’s Vesuvio pizza soars to the heavens in taste and in real life as it was created to honor of Mt Vesuvius by Chef Alfredo.

Choose any pizza dough recipe. Make dough into a 12 inch diameter circle on 1/4 of the dough:

 1 cup mozzarella

5 oz. ricotta cheese

5 oz. salami

 Fold this over to meet in the middle of the circle of dough, making a pocket.

 On the other 1/2:

 4 Tbl. sp. of red sauce

1 cup mozzarella

1/4 cup sliced mushrooms

1/4 cup quartered artichoke hearts

 bake @ 500 degrees for 20 minutes
